Today, with our word wall words, we practiced using them in sentences. Altogether we did fill in the blanks, then on our own we had to create a new sentence using each of the word wall words. Even though it is a short week, we are still going to have a quiz on our word wall words on Thursday.

In Phys. Ed. we got to play a new game called 'Tiger Tail'. Everyone had a pinnie tucked into a pocket. As everyone ran around the gym we had to try and grab other peoples tails. When we grabbed someones, we threw it at their feet and they had to do a specific fitness activity the Mr Sadowsky decided before hand. There were mats as obstacles all around the gym to make the game a little more challenging.

Every Tuesday we have library. Today, it was fun looking through and reading new books. To start, we are only allowed to take one book out until we learn how to be responsible by bringing our books back every week. Once we show good responsibility for a while, then we can take out two books.

We may have found the winning material for Mr Willy Wonka's new chocolate bar! As we are starting to eliminate materials that are not attracted to magnets, today, we tested a bunch of different metals. First we made our predictions, then did the testing. Only one metal worked. Can you guess from the list of metals below, which one is attracted to magnets;
-copper
-brass
-iron
-zinc
-steel (m)
-silver
-steel (s)
-aluminum

Finally, we discussed the last pillar of care, 'Care for Learning'. Some of the things we brainstormed were;
-take breaks/exercise
-take your time, do not rush your work
-don't get upset or frustrated, try again
-sound it out
-ask for help when you need it
We said that taking care for our learning is very important and help us to get smarter and learn new things as we grow up and move to higher grades in school.

Reminders:
