Kindergarten Buddies and Homework

Some of us did not get our word wall word wok completed today, copy the word 3 times and then use it in a sentence, it is coming home for homework. It needs to be completed tonight and returned tomorrow!!

As well as math, the sentence starters are below if you need them to complete the homework. Again, complete tonight and return tomorrow!!

After our morning routine, Ms. Cokar's Kindergarten class came to us for reading buddies! It was fun to have them over.

Before lunch we reviewed a few things we learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and chose 3 ideas to write in our journals.

All afternoon we did math. we started with a fun video.

In math, we discussion why we are learning about 2D shapes, a few ideas we said were:
-to help with our drawing skills
-we need to learn 2D shapes before we can do 3D shapes
-to help us build our homes and other houses

Then in our math journals we wrote the following sentences and drew 5, real life pictures, to go with each statement.
-A circle can be...
-A square can be...
-A triangle can be..
-A rectangle can be...
-A rhombus can be...
-An oval can be...
-A trapezoid can be...

Reminders:
-HOMEWORK - home reading, math, word wall words
-fun lunch forms due tomorrow
